Ms. Vastalo, a native Chicagoan, holds a degree in Business Management from North Central College, and has been a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor since 2010.
Partnering with a family-owned business right after college, Victoria enjoyed the independence of self-employment in a business that quickly experienced financial and operational challenges that she wasn’t prepared for. This early experience strongly influenced her desire to help other business owners avoid costly mistakes to starting and managing the finances of a business. She later worked in various financial management positions at both large corporations and small independent companies, gaining valuable insights and experience, and refining her financial management skills before deciding to open her own consulting enterprise in 2004.
In addition to her consulting work, Ms. Vastalo has volunteered her services with several Small Business Development Centers in Chicago, and has facilitated workshops on entrepreneurship, business taxes, bookkeeping, accounting software and money management. She is currently a volunteer mentor with BizStarts in Milwaukee, a member of the Accounting and Financial Womens' Alliance, and American Association of University Women, West Suburban Milwaukee chapter.
She enjoys biking, all kinds of dancing, exploring her new home of Wisconsin, and being favorite Auntie to her niece and nephew when she's not helping small business owners succeed.
