Meet Victoria Vastalo

Passionate about helping small businesses

I'm a Numbers whiz with a flair for action, oversight & structure. I can turn disorganized financial chaos into well-run systems, easier to understand data & better strategic decisions.

I started working at the age of 12, babysitting, cleaning houses, helping out at neighbors' parties. I earned my own money because I loved to buy clothes, but I also loved to save! I bought a brand new car with my own cash when I was 18. I looked forward to getting my own checkbook & credit card, & was one of the few teenagers (and adults for that matter) who actually reconciled my bank statements every month!

Fast forward to the year after college, when I partnered with a family-owned business, where I enjoyed the independence of self-employment in a business that quickly experienced financial & operational challenges that I was Not prepared for! These early missteps & resulting business closure were devastating to me, but it strongly influenced my desire to help other people avoid costly mistakes to starting & managing their own business.

I knew I wanted to get back to being my own boss, but first I had to learn from other successful business owners! I worked in various financial management positions at both large corporations & small independent companies, gaining valuable insights & experience, & refining my financial management skills before deciding to open my own consulting enterprise in 2004.

In addition to my consulting work, I have facilitated workshops on entrepreneurship, business taxes, bookkeeping, accounting software & money management. I have been a QuickBooks ProAdvisor since 2010.

When I'm not helping small business owners succeed, I love to bike (pedal, not motor), all kinds of dancing, travel, exploring my new home of Wisconsin, & being favorite Auntie to my niece & nephew.
