Meet Victoria Vastalo

Passionate about helping small businesses

I am a native Chicagoan, hold a degree in Business Management from North Central College, and have been a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor since 2010.

Partnering with a family-owned business right after college, I enjoyed the independence of self-employment in a business that quickly experienced financial and operational challenges that I was Not prepared for. These early mis-steps and resulting business closure was devastating to me, and it strongly influenced my desire to help other business owners avoid costly mistakes to starting and managing the finances of a business.

I knew I wanted to get back to being my own boss, but first I had to learn from other successful business owners! I worked in various financial management positions at both large corporations and small independent companies, gaining valuable insights and experience, and refining my financial management skills before deciding to open my own consulting enterprise in 2004.

In addition to my consulting work, I have volunteered with several Small Business Development Centers in Chicago, facilitated workshops on entrepreneurship, business taxes, bookkeeping, accounting software and money management. I am currently a volunteer mentor with BizStarts in Milwaukee, an Affiliate Member of WICPA, a member of the Accounting and Financial Womens' Alliance, and I serve on the Board of American Association of University Women, West Suburban Milwaukee Chapter.

When I'm not helping small business owners succeed, I love to bike (pedal, not motor), all kinds of dancing, travel, exploring my new home of Wisconsin, and being favorite Auntie to my niece and nephew
